“Chunghwa Telecom, Above and Beyond.” Aside from the industrial development and competition, as the leading telecom brand in Taiwan, it stresses on not just good products, services, and profit but also the fulfillment of the role as a corporate citizen to put its social influence to good use. Hence, we value voices of stakeholders, internally and externally, attentively listen to, respond to, and meet their demands.

The identification and determination of key stakeholders and material issues are the core works for corporate sustainability/ESG implementation. Pursuant to Stakeholder Engagement Standard, AA1000 SES 2015, we established the processes for identification and engagement of stakeholders, listening attentively to voices of internal and external stakeholders and responding properly.

Personnel from various departments are invited to participate in the kick-off meeting for the preparation of the ESG report at the beginning of each year to discuss, exchange and reach consensus on the current stakeholders and the ESG topics of stakeholders’ concerns or with impact, which serve as the important reference basis for disclosures in the report. In promoting corporate sustainability activities or information disclosure, the opinions and suggestions will be comprehensively solicited from the internal and external stakeholders.
