Engagement Policy
“Chunghwa Telecom, Above and Beyond.” Aside from the operation and profit, as the leading telecom brand in Taiwan, we value voices of stakeholders, internally and externally, attentively listen to, respond to, and meet their demands.
Stakeholder engagement is a core task in implementing corporate sustainability/ESG. Chunghwa Telecom defines its major stakeholders in accordance with the AA 1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (SES) (2015), including Shareholders/Investors, Employees, Clients/Customers, Suppliers, Communities/NPOs, Media/Rating Agencies, Competent Authorities/Government Departments, and Peers. Local stakeholders include Communities/NPOs, Competent Authorities/Government Departments, and Media. To ensure an effective engagement and interaction of Chunghwa Telecom with stakeholders, the “Chunghwa Telecom Stakeholder Engagement Policy” has been stipulated, which applies to its own operations and leads the Group and supply chain to jointly promote sustainable outcomes that are mutually beneficial for both Chunghwa Telecom and its stakeholders.
