Chunghwa Telecom(CHT) was invited by the Vietnam Smart City Consortium (VSCC) today (21) to participate in the "Vietnam Smart City Future Conference" co-organized with the Ho Chi Minh City Construction Materials Association (SACA) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. VSCC officially announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chunghwa Telecom (2412), becoming a new co-founding member. The partnership with Chunghwa Telecom marked a new step in the creation of smart cities in Vietnam following the direction of expansion, diversification, and matching the requirements of smart cities and townships, and means that Chunghwa Telecom has taken a big step forward in deepening the Vietnamese market. This event is for experienced organizations in the field of smart city development to discuss, exchange and share their experience, and methods to deploy smart city construction in the world, as well as apply those experiences or practices in the future specific context of Vietnam.
Currently, in Vietnam, the concept of smart cities or smart townships does not have a standardized definition. Each smart city construction and development project has a different definition, as well as directions for organizing activities, creativity, and development in this field. This leads to a lack of consistency and faces many problems.
The City Operating System of CHT(CHTCityOS) - Smart Governance Platform developed by Chunghwa Telecom can perfectly solve the issues.
