2025 Key Performances

Upholding the brand spirit of “Always Ahead,” we achieved outstanding sustainable development results in 2025. These results are not only a fulfillment of our commitment to sustainable development, but also our contribution and obligation to the society and the environment. We shall continue to work to realize the sustainable development goals, promote social progresses, and benefit more stakeholders.

Environmental (E)

Strategies: Improve energy efficiency and develop renewable energy.

Targets:

  1. A 50% reduction of carbon emissions compared with 2020
  2. 100% IDCs on renewable energy
  3. As the first domestic telecom operator to advocate joining the EV100 initiative, we have made a concrete commitment to achieving 100% electrification of engineering and company vehicles by 2030.
  4. The first telecom company to commit to No Net Deforestation and Net Positive Impact by 2030.
  1. Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions decreased by 24.49% compared to 2020.
  2. The renewable energy usage ratio for the IDCs reached 39.13%. 
  3. The parent company and all subsidiaries completed the ISO 14064-1 Greenhouse Gas Inventory and obtained third-party assurance.
  4. Completed the TCFD conformity assessment and obtained the highest level of certification.
  5. Continued to publish both the Chinese and English versions of the TNFD report; promoted the Kaohsiung site of the Hundred-Species Restoration Project; increased the number of bird species identified through AIoT conservation monitoring; completed the maintenance of 9.244 hectares of bamboo forest; hosted  the “No Net Loss and No Deforestation Forum as part of its biodiversity initiatives.
  6. Established a corporate volunteer program that cultivates volunteers’ scientific expertise and certify 264 citizen scientists for tree carbon.
     
 

Social(S)

Strategies: Strengthen the awareness of gender equality, increase the ratio of female managers, establish the education support ecosystem in the rural areas, and create the production and sales team.

Targets:

  1. Increase in the ratio of female top managers to 20%
  2. Digital empowerment to 22,000 beneficiaries of disadvantaged groups in the rural areas cumulatively
  3. 198,000 small and medium-sized enterprises cumulatively with digital environments and innovative business models
  1. The proportion of female senior executives reached 19.72%.
  2. With digital empowerment, assisted over 24,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds in achieving digital equity and enhancing their digital capabilities.
  3. Assisted over 26,000 small and medium-sized enterprises in establishing digital environments and cultivating digital capabilities.
  4. Supported employee financial well-being and encouraged marriage, childbirth, and childcare by implementing five major workplace incentives: salary increases and meal allowances, new labor pension system with employee stock ownership trust incentives, relaxed promotion criteria, higher employee compensation ratio, and one-time bonuses.
     
 

Governance(G)

Strategies: Improve ESG ratings and link the variable compensation of senior managers with ESG indicators.

Targets:

  1. "AA" of MSCI ESG Ratings attained in 2025; "AAA" in 2030
  2. 30% of the variable compensation of senior managers linked with ESG indicators
  1. Increase in the linkage between the variable compensation for executives and ESG indicators to 30%
  2. AA” in the S&P Global’s Issuer Credit Ratings, the first and only one in the global telecommunications industry
  3. S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook - Top 5% in S&P Global ESG Score
  4. “AAA” in MSCI ESG Ratings
  5. Jade Award in The Asset ESG Corporate Awards, the only company in Taiwan with the honor for five consecutive years
  6. Recognized by Newsweek as one of the World's Most Trustworthy Companies for 2025.
  7. Issued the telecom industry's first sustainability bond incorporating biodiversity, valued at NT$3.5 billion.
  8. Proactively aligned with IFRS sustainability disclosure standards and prepared the "Sustainability-Related Financial Information" section for its 2025 Annual Report.
  9. Expanded the implementation of  ISO 37001 Anti-Bribery Management System to strengthen corporate governance.
