- Keep tabs on the up-to-date developments of international environmental sustainability issues and laws and regulations as well as the requirements from the domestic environmental laws and regulations.
- Actively introduce international management systems and respond to environmental sustainability initiatives; closely interact and engage with relevant stakeholders for proactive action plans of environmental sustainability.
- The Group encourages employees, including those in subsidiaries, who are committed to ESG-related work to participate in training and obtain international certifications. In 2025, Chunghwa Telecom obtained 185 ISO 14064-1 certifications, 126 ISO 14067 certifications, 25 ISO 14064-2 certifications, 27 ISO 14068-1 certifications, 210 Corporate Sustainability Manager certifications, 84 Net Zero Manager certifications, and a total of 203 certifications for ISO 14001, ISO 46001, and ISO 50001.

| Climate change adaptation strategies |
- Actively promote climate change adaptation actions, with the Environmental Group under the Sustainable Development Promotion Committee to coordinate on the climate change issues throughout the Company, including the targets pertaining to adaptation and carbon management.
- Continuously implementing climate-related financial disclosure (TCFD) assessments and planning the execution of short-, medium-, and long-term climate change adaptation plans.
- Our action plans focus on mitigation and adaptation, strengthening transitional resilience through carbon reduction technology, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable carbon management in the supply chain. At the same time, it enhances the disaster resilience of telecommunications infrastructure and communication equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations and core services under various climate scenarios and extreme weather conditions.
- Through regular drills and disaster prevention management, as well as standardized operating procedures and execution mechanisms, the impact of disasters is reduced and communications are maintained without interruption. Covering pre-disaster early warning, equipment protection, and temporary base station deployment measures, the strategy leverages digital technology to enhance communication resilience. The "SkyStar Network" strategy is primarily designed to strengthen the resilience, backup capabilities, and future digital transformation needs of communications infrastructure, boosting the network’s ability to respond to climate change, disasters, and geopolitical risks. Simultaneously, we have established a diversified disaster information platform to enhance overall communication resilience and service continuity.
- Established standards for the installation of climate resilience equipment and site selection regarding sea level rise, storm surges, and coastal strong winds.

| Construction of low-carbon sustainable supply chain |
- As the first domestic telecom operator to join the CDP Supply Chain Program that officially initiated the supply chain carbon management action in 2018, Chunghwa Telecom equips its supplier partners with carbon management capabilities. In 2024, Chunghwa Telecom was honored with the highest leadership distinction (A-list) in the CDP Climate Change Questionnaire.
- From 2021 to 2024, a total of 75 key first-tier suppliers signed the Joint Net Zero Initiative, responding to and supporting Chunghwa Telecom's SBTi Science-Based Carbon Reduction Initiative targets.
- The Group will continue to incorporate supplier ESG management into supplier contract requirements. Starting in 2027, for procurement cases exceeding NT$50 million, bidding suppliers must obtain Chunghwa Telecom’s Sustainable Partner certification at the Bronze level or above.

| Service process digitalization |
- We have fully implemented paperless document services. As of 2025, this has cumulatively reduced paper usage by 639 million sheets, equivalent to saving 58,000 trees, and lowered carbon emissions by 4,342 metric tons, concretely advancing carbon reduction and forest conservation.
- As the first telecom operator in Taiwan with its service centers fully transformed into green stores, 439 regular stores in Taiwan transformed into "green stores." Chunghwa Telecom encourages consumers to purchase green products and exercise green consumption.
