Second Party Audit To assess suppliers’ sustainability risks, Chunghwa Telecom commissions a third-party verification body to conduct annual on-site ESG assessments of significant suppliers in accordance with the Chunghwa Telecom Supplier Code of Conduct.
  1. In 2026, 100% completion of “ESG second-party audits” for significant suppliers.
  2. In 2027, based on second-party audit results, complete ESG ratings for 160 suppliers and award certificates (Gold, Silver, and Bronze).
  3. All nonconformities identified in second-party audits require suppliers to implement corrective actions to reduce negative ESG impacts.
  4. In 2027, for transactions exceeding NT$50 million, suppliers must meet at least the Bronze level qualification of sustainable partnership to be eligible to bid.

Local procurement  Aside from certain irreplaceable professional network communications equipment that must be procured internationally, Chunghwa Telecom is committed to practicing “local procurement” to facilitate economic development of industries in Taiwan. Expectation met 2026
CDP Supply Chain Program  Chunghwa Telecom became the first telecom operator in Taiwan to join the CDP Supply Chain Program in 2017. Through the program, Chunghwa Telecom implements supply chain carbon management, including education and training, as well as GHG inventory and management.
  1. 100% completion of CDP questionnaire education and training for significant suppliers.
  2. Collection of suppliers’ climate change and carbon emissions information at least once every year.
