Kaohsiung, Taiwan – July 31, 2024 – Chunghwa Telecom and Poland's EXATEL Telecom have made a significant breakthrough in the development of 5G solutions. Today, both companies jointly announced the successful completion of field validation for 5G private networks and EXATEL SDN TechSystem network integration at Chunghwa Telecom’s Yawan building and the Shoushan Zoo’s Askey 5G field. This solution combines Chunghwa Telecom's 5G private network solutions with EXATEL's SDN (Software-Defined Networking) system, Askey’s 5G deployment, and Taiwan’s network equipment, providing comprehensive network integration services. This collaboration serves as a model for international cooperation between Taiwan and Poland. Notably, this is the first deployment of EXATEL's SDN solution in Asia, and the success of this validation marks a significant milestone following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on July 27, 2023, for emerging business cooperation and a network interconnection service agreement between Taiwan and Poland. In addition, the launch of the "5G ZONE" - 5G smart service application themed area at EXATEL's Warsaw headquarters on March 1, 2024, signifies another important progress in 5G technology and smart network applications.
