Bangkok, Thailand, July 21, 2023 - Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (TAIEX: 2412, NYSE: CHT) made a notable presence at "Thailand Taiwan Exhibition 2023" organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, TAITRA from July 20 (Thurs) to July 22 (Sat). The exhibition, held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center in Thailand attracted a number of industry associations in Thailand, as well as the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Trade Institute, and Thai Industry Federation. On 21st July, with collaboration of Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, Thailand National Telecom (NT), and Thailand Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), Chunghwa Telecom organized the " Leading for the best-Next Generation of Smart City solutions " forum. The forum explored the new generation of solutions for Smart Cities, Digital Transformation, Image Recognition, and shared cooperation experience.
Chunghwa Telecom and its Thailand branch office have been actively engaged in the Thai market for several years, focusing on the infrastructure development, smart manufacturing, and smart energy solutions. Aim to establish closer ties with the Thai market, Chunghwa Telecom is presenting a live demonstration between Taichung and Thailand. These demonstrations showcased the "Smart Machinery Cloud Platform" developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute, the "Embedded Energy Management System" of Expetech, and the real time monitoring of Chunghwa Telecom's " Intelligence Video Surveillance System (IVS)". Through Chunghwa Telecom's high-speed, low-latency, and high-capacity "5G Enterprise Private Network," managers in Thailand could remotely monitor machine status, view on-site screens, and analyze real-time data.
The forum hosted by Chunghwa Telecom featured insightful discussions on leveraging digital innovation to accelerate the smart cities development, Chunghwa Telecom's smart city solutions and the application of image recognition in smart cities. Alongside industry-specific examples, the Taiwan Economic Research Institute provided valuable perspectives from the academic community on digital innovation technologies. Distinguished guests from Thailand's National Telecom (NT) and Thailand's Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) shared the achievements and cooperation with Chunghwa Telecom over the past years and emphasizing the potential for implementing Taiwan's successful smart city experiences in Thailand.
