Frost & Sullivan, a reputable international research organization, held its 2015 Best Practices Awards Ceremony in Singapore on October 15, 2015. Su Wen-Ming, President of Chunghwa Telecom Singapore, attended the ceremony to receive the Taiwan Mobile Service Provider of the Year award on behalf of Chunghwa Telecom.

Lin Kuo-Fen, President of Chunghwa Telecom Mobile Group, commented that Chunghwa Telecom continues to encourage mobile users to migrate to 4G services. To encourage 4G service growth, the company allows users to subscribe to affordable mobile TV and video streaming services through its recent promotional packages. President Lin also stated that Chunghwa Telecom aims to reach 4.4 million subscribers by the end of 2015, and continue to strengthen the leading status it has commanded for decades.

 “Chunghwa Telecom is the leading mobile service provider in Taiwan with more than 11.1 million mobile subscribers. In 2014, it grew its subscriber base and further strengthened its market leadership. Better network quality, affordable pricing, and strong customer loyalty helped the company maintain the lowest subscriber churn rate among peers,” stated a representative from Frost & Sullivan.

Furthermore, Avinash Sachdeva, Senior Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan, also explained why Chunghwa Telecom outperformed peers to win the Taiwan Mobile Service Provider of the Year award, “Chunghwa Telecom maintained its technological leadership by becoming the first service provider to launch 4G services in Taiwan. Supported by the increasing popularity of smartphones in 2014, the company achieved 30% growth in mobile internet adoption among its post-paid subscribers, and 23% growth in its non-voice revenues to offset the secular decline in traditional voice revenues.”
