Chunghwa Telecom today unveiled its “Organizational Brain Upgrade Initiative for the AI Era,” demonstrating its strong commitment to making a large organization more agile as it responds to the opportunities and challenges of the AI era. As Taiwan’s leading telecommunications provider, Chunghwa Telecom has delivered strong operational and financial performance in recent years. In 2025, the company continued to deliver strong results, with full-year revenue hitting an all-time high and earnings per share reaching an eight-year record. The market capitalization of the Group’s listed subsidiaries grew by 40%, while the company joined the ranks of Taiwan’s NT$1 trillion market-cap enterprises. Building on this momentum, the company continues to expand beyond its core telecommunications business into strategic growth areas, including IDC and AI computing infrastructure, Pre-6G intelligent applications, cybersecurity services, digital resilience, and sustainable transformation, creating new engines for long-term growth.
To strengthen its ability to compete and grow in the AI era, Chunghwa Telecom launched the “Organizational Brain Upgrade Initiative for the AI Era,” personally led by President Rong-Shy Lin, with 111 senior executives participating in the initiative. All participants successfully obtained the internationally recognized Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from Scrum Alliance. This achievement marked a record-setting corporate cohort of 111 CSPO-certified executives and earned recognition as a global enterprise success story. It reflects the company’s commitment to cultivating a leadership team united by a shared leadership language, enabling faster resource alignment, stronger cross-functional collaboration, and greater organizational agility.
In the AI Era, Technology Is Only the Starting Point; Adaptability Determines Success
Chunghwa Telecom Chairman Chih-Chen Chien stated that under the core philosophy of “AI Everywhere,” the company is actively expanding AI-driven innovative services and applications across AIDC, Pre-6G intelligent applications, cybersecurity, smart cities, and smart healthcare. As AI technology continues to evolve rapidly and create new business opportunities and application scenarios, core corporate competitiveness increasingly depends not only on technological capabilities, but also on the ability to integrate expertise across industries and ecosystems, and to rapidly transform innovative ideas into customer and market value.
To build these capabilities, Chairman Chien specifically appointed President Rong-Shy Lin with leading the initiative. President Lin led 111 senior executives across the Consumer, Enterprise, and International Business groups, as well as the Network Technology, Information Technology, Telecommunication Laboratories and operational support functions, in obtaining the internationally recognized CSPO certification. Through structured, hands-on training, participants strengthened their ability to understand customer and product value, embrace rapid iteration and experimentation, and drive effective cross-departmental and cross-hierarchical collaboration. The program also enhanced their ability to translate agile thinking into practical business execution and established a shared leadership language across the organization.
President Rong-Shy Lin pointed out that when members of Chunghwa Telecom’s executive leadership team share a common language and common goals, the organization can integrate resources more effectively, accelerate decision-making, and maximize organizational synergies. By combining stronger executive collaboration with greater organizational agility, the company is better positioned to transform technological strengths into market leadership while further enhancing its innovation capability, integration capability, and global competitiveness.
