Chunghwa Telecom 2026 Annual General Meeting Results Announcement, Distribution of NT$5.2 Cash Dividend per Common Share Approved

  Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C., May 29, 2026 – Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (“CHT”, TWSE: 2412, NYSE: CHT) today held its 2026 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) at 9:00 a.m. Taipei Time. The meeting was chaired by Chairman Chih-Cheng Chien. During the meeting, shareholders ratified the Company's 2025 business report, financial statements and earnings distribution proposal. Shareholders also approved amendments to the Articles of Incorporation, amendments to the Procedures for Acquisition or Disposal of Assets, and the release of non-competition restrictions on directors.

  Chairman Chih-Cheng Chien stated at the AGM, “Chunghwa Telecom once again exceeded its financial guidance in 2025, with both revenue and EPS reaching record highs. In addition, our 2025 cash dividend per share is set at NT$5.2, with a payout ratio of 104.2%, further reflecting our confidence in operating performance and commitment to creating value for shareholders. Looking ahead to 2026, we are glad to see additional contributions from our “Sea, Land, Satellite, and Sky” deployment strategy, while our mobile and fixed broadband businesses continue to grow steadily and ICT business maintains market leadership. The Company is therefore highly confident in achieving another year of strong performance, continuing to create greater value for shareholders.”

  The Company added that for Chunghwa Telecom, 2025 was a year of outstanding performance, exceeding its targets. Supported by Taiwan’s healthy telecom market and the acceleration of AI-driven digital transformation across industries, Chunghwa Telecom’s performance in 2025 was driven by three key growth engines: steady expansion of its core telecom business, strong momentum in its emerging ICT businesses, and increased contributions from its group subsidiaries. As a result, consolidated revenue reached NT$236.11 billion, a record high. Net income attributable to stockholders of the parent company was NT$38.71 billion, and EPS reached NT$4.99, both marking the highest levels in the past eight years. Revenue and EPS both exceeded the high end of the Company’s guidance.

  Furthermore, 2025 was also a landmark year for the Company’s initiative, “Chunghwa AI Ignites the Future.” In addition to the steady growth of its telecom business, improved profitability in its ICT operations, and increases in both sales revenue and investment income, the Company continued to emphasize simplification, pragmatism, and intelligence, streamlining internal processes and refining products and services to enhance operational efficiency and improve margins.
