Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. May 26, 2023 - Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. (“CHT”, TAIEX: 2412, NYSE: CHT) today held its annual general meeting, “AGM.” The meeting was hosted by Chairman Shui-Yi Kuo. Shareholders in attendance represented 6,162,213,687 shares, or 79.43% of total outstanding shares.
The Company’s 2022 business summary, 2022 consolidated financial statements and 2022 dividend proposal were ratified by shareholders. The proposals approved at the meeting included:
- Amendments to the Articles of Incorporation
- Release of non-compete restrictions on directors
The 2022 dividend to shareholders passed at the meeting was NT$4.702 per common share in cash, totaling NT$36,475,513,654.
