Chunghwa Telecom announces the successful deployment of the 5G Private Network for DELTA Electronics (Thailand) Bangpoo factory (Plant 1) this year, following the memorandum of understanding (MOU) for 5G private network collaboration by National Telecom (NT), The WhiteSpace (The WSP), and DELTA Electronics (Thailand) and Chunghwa Telecom in 2021.

Partnered with NT and The WSP, Chunghwa Telecom has successfully deployed a 5G private network for DELTA Electronics (Thailand) at Bangpoo factory (Plant 1), realizing AR remote collaboration and enhancing its hybrid working environment for assembly training, operation assistance, and visual equipment control as part of its continuous digital transformation in the post-pandemic era. The company will soon be testing the intelligent application of AGVs in its factories under 5G network supported circumstance. It is expected that DELTA Electronics (Thailand) will gradually introduce the 5G enterprise private network as the communication infrastructure for these intelligent applications to its other factories in the near future.

Chunghwa Telecom continues to work closely with local partners. With NT providing the local 5G core network, and The WSP supporting local marketing and operation experience, Chunghwa Telecom provides its own MEC Intelligent A+ and design planning experience to build 5G+AIoT intelligent solution services for not only the public sectors, but also private industries.

Col Sanphachai Huvanandana, chief of NT, said: " By using 5G networks, IoT will be upgraded to massive IoT and support higher densities of connected devices. Also, all the data collected from different domains can be processed and calibrated as big data on cloud services.

In the past, NT focuses on providing infrastructure-level services and continually developing government personnel in Government Central Cloud Project (GDCC). Now we focuses on expanding our services at the platform and software level. This will be an important project that helps support government organizations to achieve the transition to the Digital Thailand 4.0 government.

For 5G enterprise projects, NT focuses on serving the needs of niche groups of large enterprises, such as manufacturing. In addition, we focus on providing 5G services in the form of network sharing, helping enterprises to reduce investment costs and enjoy high-quality 5G services. NT is also currently planning to build smart cities using 5G-specific spectrum in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) region and other major cities. "
