ADSL+HiNet (english)

ADSL stands for "Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line". With this simple yet powerful technology, you get unlimited high-speed Internet access over your existing phone line. There's virtually no waiting to get connected to the Web sites you're looking for. You enjoy the freedom to talk on the phone at the same time you or someone else in your home is online.

Equipment required-

A computer equipped with a network card is needed before ADSL can be used (fixed systems require the setting of a network card IP address, while non-fixed systems require the installation of PPPoE software). The network card must be connected by network cable to an ADSL modem (ATU-R) installed by Chunghwa Telecom. If one wishes to let several computers share an ADSL connection, the subscriber must install a hub and UTP network cable to link the computers to the ATU-R.

Types-

Fixed Types - Static IP address, suitable for large business customers or government apparatus which (or who) provide or make use of network services.

Non-fixed Types - Dynamic IP address, suitable for family or personal customers.
