Domestic Data Leased Circuits

Chunhwa Telecom provides leased rate-fixed data circuits for data transmission. There are two types of domestic data leased circuits:

Local Data Leased Circuit: A circuit that terminates within the same Chunghwa Telecom local telephone service area.
Long-Distance Data Leased Circuits: A circuit that terminates in two different local telephone service areas.

Note 1: An additional NT$2000 (per modem) connection fee will be charged for modems rented from Chunghwa Telecom. (For indoor transfer, charge is NT$500 per modem). Note 2: An NT$900 inspection fee will be charged for user-supplied terminal equipment. Note 3: Material costs will be added (at cost) in addition to connection fees if new cables need to be installed for alternate circuit routing.

International Leased Data Circuits

International Leased Data Circuits from Chunghwa Telecom are dedicated international circuits enabling computer, fax and telex transmission between two international terminals. International Leased Data Circuits are charged at a fixed monthly rate with unlimited connection time. The local telecommunications authorities at both ends of the international circuit charge an additional fee for the local circuit (local loop). This service is suitable for high-volume communications customers with monthly telecommunications costs that approach or exceed the monthly rental fees.
