CHT has strived to encourage all of its employees to take part in all of CHT’s environmental protection and energy conservation actions. In order for employees to understand fully CHT's commitment to environmental protection, as early as 2007, CHT has established the "Code of Conduct for Environmental Friendly and Energy Conserving Behavior," so that all employees can practice environmental protection and energy saving lifestyle and actions in their daily work and living.

Participation in Clean Homeland Campaign
CHT has participated actively in the "Clean Homeland Corporate Action Plan" initiated by the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) of Taiwan and contributed various efforts in cleaning neighboring homes and communities. In 2009, CHT established the Volunteer Team for Environmental Actions, and greatly improved the cleaning efficiency of neighboring communities with CHT’s volunteers. Due to these consistent efforts, CHT was grated the "Action Potential Award" by the EPA. At present, CHT continues to promote these actions on a corporate level in order to encourage employee participation in order to care for their neighborhoods and to leverage voluntary actions to maintain the environmental quality of their communities.
