Equal Opportunities & Diversity
Update: 2013/06/01
We have incorporated the relevant employment gender equality into its corporate policy. CHT is in strict compliance with the "General Equality in Employment Act" in handling recruitment of and in conducting tests of new employees and in making employment offers. All jobs at Chunghwa Telecom are open to all members of either sex.
CHT has stipulated various policies including the "Guidelines for Anti-Sexual Harassment Measures and Handling of Complaints", parental leave, family-care leave, accompanying maternity leave and menstrual leave, etc.
A sound corporate citizen is expected to exceed legal requirements. For example, paragraph 2, Article 38 of Physically and Mentally Disabled Citizens Protection Act states, "At least 1% of the workforce of private companies must be employees who are physically or mentally disabled." As of 2012, CHT employed up to 758 employees who are mentally or physically disabled exceeded the legal requirement by over 3 times.
